understand it.  That's ok, if you can accept that the universe is more
mysterious than your scientific explanations can contain, but since that
idea goes against the scientific worldview of arrogant humanism, you're
reduced to ridiculously unverifiable postulations like sunlight + time =
life.

I think the universe is more mysterious that any explanation you care to
offer. Chaos is embedded in its very fabric so deeply that any attempt at
explanation will leave something out. Something important will be unsaid.
Phrases like "scientific worldview of arrogant humanism" just sound like the
sour grapes of ignorance. Perhaps, you have chosen wisely.
