Hey Arlo, I understand smug superiority when I encounter it.

And I don't blame anybody for my ignorance;  I already explained once that
I've discovered that I'm an Existentialist.  My ignorance is freely chosen.

As a wiser man than me once pointed out, the properly socratic method to
employ at this time is: Ok, I'm ignorant. Now that that's been established,
  would you mind educating an ignorant wood cutter on the exact mechanism of
the emergence of life, the universe and everything?

Since you're a teacher and all, I figure you must have all the answers in
