Andre,
They don't have Netflix in China? What barbarous conditions you must suffer
under...
I'm just back from a sybaritic weekend of casino luxury, but Lu and I are
easily pleased. "Look Ma! You can flush toilet paper right down and you
don't have to save your bathwater in a bucket, you just pull the handle!
Amazing."
We feel like the Clampets and their excitement over the see-ment pond.
Anyway, thanks for that reminder Craig, I haven't seen that movie since it
came out in the theater and I watched it with my first wife, who hated
philosophical discussion, much less a whole movie full. I'd like to see it
again with this one that does enjoy philosophy, in bite-size doses. Even a
whole dinner's worth.
And Andre, you must definitely check it out, I mean, your name is plastered
all over the title...
For warmth, I recommend something I sent back to Belarus with Sasha after
his visit - a catalytic propane heater. They're kind of expensive, but man
are they efficient. You can keep a room warm on about five gallons of bulk
propane a week.
If you can get bulk propane, come to think of it. Gotta window? Is it
illegal to have a woodstove?
I mean, didn't these people basically invent chopping wood and carrying
water?
