No Arlo this is merely taken from the definition of a religious attitude.  There is no
logic whatsoever needed here.  It is called use of the accepted English language.

No, not flavors of faith, flavors of reality.  If reality is experience as I hear wrongly
stated in this forum.  Then what is real?  Yours, is not mine, and you will
not convince me otherwise.  If anything, your attitude that your belief is
anything but a religion stands on shifting sands.  Views will change tomorrow,
where is the consistency to your reality?  Perhaps you should start thinking
for a change, rather than accepting.  Break on through to the other side.

result of plate tectonics and geological forces is a "system of belief", no 
better and no worse that understanding it as retribution of a angry god against 
a people who practice voodoo and made a pact with the devil.

Oh, have you seen these plate tectonics, or are you just accepting this
statement on faith.  What first hand experience do you have with
witnessing plate tectonics, except from what you have read in the
holy books or learned from the priests.  Go ahead, tell me, I'm 
waiting for your convincing bolt of lightning truth.  Go ask your
priest for a way to convince me that plate tectonics exist,
I'm sure they have got this argument down to a science
for us non-believers.  Your unquestioning attitude is the
pathetic one.  "Of course it's true, I read it in the sacred papers."

Oh, Arlo, how is it that you know that the brain needs oxygen?  Have you
actually seen this stuff and exactly what it is doing in your brain?  Or
is this another one of your superstitions based on religious faith?
Go ahead, believe in the supernatural provided to your by your
wise elders.  Pass it along to your sons.  That is the way a
religion survives.  It cannot survive otherwise and will be
lost to all those poor souls who can't believe without being
taught THE TRUTH ACCORDING TO ARLO.

Question everything, accept nothing.  Don't be a
religious drone.
