All I hear from you is unquestioning faith.  I don't know how else to put it.  Your aggressive
note is typical of those trying to push a religion.  Are you out to convert all those
ignorant souls?  I'm sure you can pull together the military might to do so.
Just ask people to sign up to save people from their own ignorance.  You can
rule the world with your perception.

faith-based theism is antithetical to thinking, requiring perhaps a lobotomy

I don't hear any thinking on your part, just parroting of the things you have been taught.  Oh, yes,
plate tectonics, now doesn't that make you seem right.  It is such a big word.  This is no
different from explaining how Noah existed.  He must have, he is in a book.

Such attrocious rhetoric. Pirsig's attitude is that the MOQ is anti-theistic. I 
agree with him. Sorry if that pisses on your faith.
OMG have I blasphemed?  What shall I do for penance, read Lila?  If what you say is true
about Pirsig (I do not have the direct connection), then he is no better than you.  The march
against theism.  Stamp it out!  

Rather than be against something, be for something.  There is nothing to fight against
except your illusion.

really want to say that "plate tectonics" is a faith-based belief system no

You still haven't told me how you KNOW plate tectonics to be true.  What
cat got your tongue?  Did the wise men tell you this?  Unabashed trust, huh.

Well, it is kind of one of those paradoxical statements, isn't it?  So yes, it was
