Yes. SOM has been superseded by the MOQ as ultimate reality,
but the S/O distinction has not been abolished, rather relegated the
role as MOQ's 4th. level. Much of Greek philosophy may no longer
be taken seriously, even its basic subject/object matrix is
superseded by the DQ/SQ one, but "statically" it is still most
valuable - it's modernity itself - as Pirsig says in LILA democracy is
an intellectual pattern.

[Krimel]
All you are talking about is one description of ultimate reality being
superseded by another. Reality is perceptual, empirical and continuous.
Words and other symbol are conceptualization of perceptual experience. They
are intellectual patterns. Greek philosophy is a set of conceptual
intellectual patterns that displaced, (to the extent that they actually did
displace) older intellectual patterns rooted in animism. But those
animistic, anthropomorphic patterns are also intellectual patterns. Mythos
is little more than our nostalgic affection for the Logos of yesteryear. But
BOTH are part of the intellectual level.
