Hello John,

>"plate tectonics" don't obviate the hand of God, A pantheist would argue
that plate tectonics ARE the hand of God.

Not too many pantheists around here. Had to look it up.

Pantheism is the view that the Universe (Nature) and God are identical. As
such Pantheism promotes the idea that God is better understood as way of
looking at natural law, existence, and the Universe (the sum total of all
that was, is and shall be), rather than as a transcendent and especially
anthropomorphic entity.[1]. Pantheists thus do not believe in a personal or
creator god.

Did Wikipedia get it right?

I like it! A lot less destructive than the usual thing. No ego required.
Don't think it'd attract many adherents down here, though.

Underground letters from the bible belt,
Mary
