The film was "Sex and Drugs and Rock 'N' Roll" - a biopic of Ian Dury.
Dunno if you know him or whether he made much of an impact in the U.S. -
but he added a couple of well known phrases to the English language
though and a lot of good music.
Best line in the film "I'm not here to be remembered, I'm here to be
alive".

So what we need really is someone with severe OCD to go through them and
cut out all the crap. Or a good way of searching and/or cataloguing
what's in them rather than deleting them. Anyone got any good ideas?

Well I suppose deleting them would cut down on the research time - but
that seems a bit drastic!

Sorry - I was in a bit of a bit flippant mood. Too much coffee - that's
my excuse anyway!
The difference in the two is the way in which they're ordered. Thread
tries to tie up and indent posts in date/time order with respect to the
thread name, while subject is more of a flattened version of thread.
I've just spent the last half hour or so looking at the format of the
expanded GZipped monthly archives (I lead such a fun-filled life!) and
it would be possible to do a better job of ordering and collating the
different posts. It'd take some doing though but the format it's stored
in (mbox I think) could provide a means of properly displaying threads,
subjects etc. properly.

Fingers crossed eh? Could be a bit late for that now though! :)
