[MD] The Upside down evolution

Well thinking about rules and organization and all, it occurs to me that for
proper thread maintenance, the author of the thread oughta keep the topic of
conversation to what the heading says.  If this makes sense, then I have a
confession to make, forgitve me horse for I have sinned, I've started
threads and not followed them to completion.

For penance, I'll do better in the future.  Or maybe I won't.  I'll do
better in the now.

Right now, the topic is one I've raised which is the force or development of
the levels is always from the higher in DQ toward the lower in DQ.  Any
biological animal has choices in its movements in its environment,
absorbing, changing and working non-organic being.

Every social level is there for the purpose of nurturing, maintaining and
creatively perpetuating the biological beings that make up the society.  The
creative force is found in the existing society to create life, to shelter
and train up children in human society, to the rules which require just the
alpha male and the alpha female to have breeding rights within the wolf pack
or the elephants to circle outward in the face of danger.

And out of the intellect of man, arise ideas which create societys.  Ideas
which individuals adopt in common, seeing the good sense of them, those
societies which do a good job last, those that don't, disappear.  That's
natural selection.


but social success doesn't mean intellectual quality anymore than a
cancerous growth equates with biological health.

At the intellectual level, formulations are not confirmed by their seeming
success.  The natural upward forces of natural selection falters in the
realm of intellect.  Intellect itself is not inherently nature-oriented or
natural.  It is possible for  unnatural ideas to dominate an intellectual
system, create an unnatural society, and grow and engorge and destroy the
world.

As unnatural ideas I'd include   ideas that put  chaos. entropy and death,
the  anti-life ideas. as the center of existence.

Thus the problem is within intellect, even though it is intellect that is
creative of all the rest and intellect that is naturally aligned with the
universe, the most precious jewel amongst a million stars.



That's the postulation of the upside down evolution, it is that force for
change comes not from random elements coming together by chance and creating
life, or biological beings happening to just show up one day in a building
and decide, Hey, let's have a church service.

Or a bunch of words on the screen suddenly making sense and so people go,
hey, look at this combination of words, it looks like an idea for a
philosophy.

Top down, not trickle up.
