Hi Joe,
Thanks for the list, I will look some of the writings up.  I need
to educate myself more in this area of philosophy.  There is
a Theosophy institution near here in Ojai, they have a great
library with all sorts of esoteric stuff from Blavatsky to Jung.

You may already have this, but a good CD that I have found
is:  Chants, Hymns, and Dances, it contains compositions by
Gurdjieff.  It is adapted for piano and viola, with Anja Lechner &
Vassilis Tsabropoulos.  I got it from iTunes. It brings forth esoteric
thought (whatever that is) as I drive to work for
my job as a scientist.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Joe,

Sounds like you are using the technique used by Gurdjieff as told in
"In Search of the Miraculous" written by P.D. Ouspensky. He uses
octaves to describe reality in much the same way. My guess is that
you have read the book, if not, you may find it kind of interesting.

Thanks for the good attempt.

Mark

Hi Mark and all,

I refer to a class of literature I call esoteric writing. I would include
the following authors on my bookshelf as participating:

George Gurdjieff, Peter Ouspensky, Maurice Nicoll, Rodney Collin, Kathryn
Hulme, Kathleen Speeth, Robert Pirsig, Dan Glover, John G. Bennett, David
Kherdian, St, Teresa of Avila, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, Patrizia
Norelli-Bachelet, Joseph Campbell, Charles Eastman (Ohiyesa), David
Kherdian.

I am sure there are many others I have not read.

Joe
