The difference as I see it, is science is seen by the brain as SOM, where as
true spirituality is not logical but is felt by the heart and is Quality.

This is an unfair comparison. You are contrasting S/O science with (what I'll
call) "mystical awareness". Instead, S/O science corresponds to S/O theism. MOQ
science would correspond perhaps with "mystical awareness"; since it is MOQ
science that sees the Void and offers "mu" to the "cause" question of the
Whyners.
E.g.. Dusenberry was a MOQ scientist. And we could probably name a few others,
off the cuff Joseph Campbell and Douglas Hofstadter.
And if by "true spirituality" you mean The Tao or Zen, then I'd say this is a
fair comment on Pirsig's ideas. "The Tao is not logical but is felt by the
heart and is Quality".
I'd also add that the head/heart distinction is a problematic one, one I saw
ZMM as trying to overcome, showing that "heart" was just as important in
rotisserie building and machine work as "head". The key is to get both working
together, not aggrandizing one while demonizing the other.
