The 4th level as the VALUE of the S/O distinction I hold as
self-evident as the American Founding Fathers did the equality of all people.

Andre:
The founding fathers were inspired and guided by the philosophy of
John Locke, who based his philosophy on the scientific discoveries of
Isaac Newton with whom he shared a close friendship.

The philosophy, as well as the scientific foundations upon which it
rests has been found wanting. There are internal contradictions,
blatant misconceptions and severe problems found. These were exposed
by the theory of relativity and subsequent investigations at the
quantum level...where it was found that nothing is self-evident.

Self- evident as analogous to 'common- sense' which, as Einstein has
pointed out in Pirsig's book is a set of prejudices formed before the
age of eighteen.
