Once you guys start bickering the Quality disappears. There must be 
something that characterizes the "Islam vs West" conflict - something 
beyond the political-sociological models and I think MOQ's level 
matrix does the job. But first of all "intellect" is the Rational attitude 
that scoffs at all God-like talk, nothing about intelligence which is 
equal to all humanity. 

Now according to the MOQ the social level's most refined patterns 
are the so-called Semitic type religions and all their sects and 
branches, and of these Jewdom is the origin with Islam and the Old 
Testament Christendom mere offshots. "Social quality" is 
characterized by the absence of any  secular/religion schism or - 
better - intellect was what introduce the said schism to quench social 
value's power. Further, according to the MOQ, the lower level does 
not recognize any level above, thus social value merely regards 
intellect as destruction of VALUE ITSELF, hence the fierce 
resistance. 

Now to the Jews who are the enigmatic part of this. The state Israel 
was  established from the Western democratic model but as the East 
European and American orthodox Jews started to migrate the 
notorious social value of Jewdom overwhelmed the intellectua value 
and the orthodox have now hijacked the parliamentary system and 
brought Israel back to  the same "God's own people" status with 
license d to behave as disgustingly as they want. Occupying 
Palestinian territory, forcing them to leave houses and property in 
what they regard as "Judea & Samaria" area. This aspect is most 
clearly seen with the ultra-orthodox Jews who won't have any Israel 
state at all, only the Jewish type of "Umma" where Mosaic Law 
regulates people's behavior. Exactly as the Taleban. 

BTW the Israel vs Muslim neighborhood is no intellect vs social 
conflict but an intra.social one and as such the fiercest and most 
bloody because the individuals are supposed to sacrifice itself for 
THE CAUSE.  I once sympathized with Israel from the traditional "a 
democratic outpost in a sea of Arab despotism" reasons, but now it 
has changed into a despotism worse than than its surroundings. The 
head-banging characters at the Wailing Wall are no better than the 
Hizbollahs and Ayathollas.
