Since the election of a leftist to the presidency, Americans are beginning to 
understand the cancerous nature of socialism. Health insurance companies, once 
private companies, are now under control of the Federal government. This will 
enable the government to compel you to own health insurance and determine under 
what circumstances you will get treatment. Once given that power, the 
government can conceivably do anything they want to you, all in the name of the 
"public good." But, even before this step into dependency on the government, 
millions of Americans discovered the benefits of welfare and employment by the 
state. 

With so many of the electorate now feeding at the government trough, it's 
doubtful if America's headlong rush to be like Europe can be averted. And, the 
economic problems of Europe will soon become multiplied tenfold in the U.S. 
Western civilization will gradually wither away to be replaced by the growing 
Asian giants. As we speak, China can plunge America into the abyss by demanding 
payment of U.S. debt.

Back in the 1930's America came to a fork in the road and chose the road to 
serfdom. In MOQ terms, social patterns of coercive cooperation have overcome 
intellectual patterns of individual liberty.
