Hi gang
quote Mary
At my office a number of us try to regularly gather for lunch. The
majority, this being Texas after all, are staunch Republicans with very
conservative political views. The smaller minority includes myself and a
few other hardy souls who regularly take a beating. In any group of
congenial but hardly intimate friends such as ours, talk often revolves
around the latest news, and this necessarily means politics. Though we
disagree, all of us are smart enough to know that our friendship is more
valuable than any transient disagreement. But one question seems to have no
answer. Who are the people who vote for things they do not really want?
Are they stupid? Are they duped by the false advertising they see? How can
they be so dumb, we ask ourselves? Even though I do not often agree with
the table's consensus, I do respect - and yes, actually _like_ those I
disagree with. Well, that means _they_ aren't the stupid ones. But even
those that disagree with me see the electorate as stupid. So who are these
stupid people? Nobody can name one. Nobody can say, "yeah, my neighbor Bob
is stupid", or "the guy I see every week at the grocery store is stupid".
So, who are they? Is there really a vast hoard of stupid people milling
around aimlessly outside the voting booth?

Its a pattern, really , some people like to live in simplifications, embedding themselves in slogans,
some like to be lead
some like to lead
there is a major disproportion between them. A gap not possible to close...
We have to vote , tomorrow , Mary, for a new coalition here, the goverment is dismissive again.
Happens all the time here, its a very expensive way to lead the country....
Its about everywhere the same, as politicians give you a hand , the other hand is already
in one's pocket.
The leftist-boys here made a new major discovery-invention,.....instead of dividing welth, dividing poverty
as a crisis-alternative...
