You have introduced a new greeting ;-) 

You made a remarkably good job of explaining the many-splendored 
aspects of life in Belgium, but as long taxes are paid and social 
services/systems works .... well, you Flemish are kind of Northerners 
and the Wallons Southerners, the latter never able to "cut their coats 
according to their cloth" On can for instance say much about the 
Germans, but they know exactly that and the problem with the EU is 
that it is not united  enough. Letting the Greeks and Spanish have 
access to the purse they will just empty it. OK, enough said. 

Could you possibly give a summary of Flanders's role in WW1. I 
remember my parents speaking about it as THE major theatre of that 
war, but it was after all in France that the trench warfare and all those 
senseless battles took place. How was that?
