I've taken a stab at this before, but it bears repeating: If values are a
line, then Quality is a direction on the line. Quality is the "goodward"
direction. Whereas valuation is the line as a whole and how good or how
much quality any point along the line "has" depends not on position in the
line, but which way the point is "facing".
Does that make sense?
