[Arlo] chimes in:

Bo chimes out:
Fist thank you Platt. When will this about cultures as intellectual
patterns end, it makes the Stone Age - tens of thousand of years
before the 4th. level is supposed to have emereged (according to
LILA) an intellectual hot-bed. As if the biological and social levels
have "Western cultures" not to speak of matter in USA being
"Western inorganic values" different from Asian ditto. I have hitherto
consider you Arlo a reasonable fellow, but your anti-SOL eagerness
takes the best of you and - like Andre - makes a fool of yourself .....
well, nuff said. No the intellectual level is the same STATIC S/O
distinction wherever DQ have brought Q-evolution up to that plane, be
it on earth or on the other side of the universe. And it was this intellect
- while still SOM - that Phaedrus opposed and confronted in the said
dilemma and elsewhere.

And FYI Arlo, Pirsig's latest communique was: "If the SOL has value it
will percolate to the top" and it seems to be on its way up. Please stop
this slanderous way of debating.
