Hi Platt 
I had not followed your debate with Arlo this far before my input, but 
yours have been a great show with your salient quotes and keen 
memory of where to find them. It's plain that Pirsig most often 
regarded SOM as intellect - all of it every last bit - but true to tradition 
left room for dissent.  Arlo & Co. cling to the Lila's Child annotation 
about "undermining the MOQ" but leaves out Pirsig's own 
development since that which ended with the PT letter where he says 
that an intellectual level before the Greeks (meaning SOM in a MOQ 
context) renders it useless, but there too left room . Also thanks for not 
buying the BoMOQ nonsense, it's MOQ's heart and soul we fight for ... 
lest the gang of four renders it a travesty.
