Again, fine, even if I don't quite like the "2 metaphysics", it was after all  
ZAMM that forwarded the "intellect=SOM" (SOL) solution and about 
half & half of LILA conveys this view.

Interesting. By "RMP's recognition" do you mean the "Intellect=SOM" 
recognition? And that this caused his breakdown? 

Marsha:
This is nothing but pure speculation on my part.  It certainly wasn't 
my experience, but I have it that, yes, his intellect as SOM, his Reality, 
disintegrated.

Bo:
If you mean that Pirsig did not dare repeat the intellect=SOM in LILA 
because it had once sent him to the hospital? If so I agree most 
vehemently.     

Marsha:
I might have misunderstood Craig's original statement as a RMP quote 
stating that all one needed to do was replace object with pattern. My 
mistake and so messy I won't try to correct it.  I will restate my strong 
belief that making an intellectual switch from objects (thing-in-itelf) to 
pattern (ever-changing, relational, unbounded, impermanent) DOES 
NOT do the trick.  Sorry for the confusion.

Hmm, had I just been sure what this means. At least, the "orthodox" 
intellectual level is much like SOM's MIND and consequently 
everything becomes "mind-intellectual constructions". But MOQ's 4th. 
level as SOM is a QUALITY construction!

I'm not sure what you mean here.  Rather than getting lost in 
language I'm going to restate:  Quality(unpatterned experience(DQ)/
patterned experience(sq)).
