A level consists of patterns. A pattern must have extension in time. Ideas
acquire extension in time through memory. Memory can take many forms from
wetware to writing, to painting, music to silicon chips and electromagnetic
wave.

I believe what I said is that a level is made up of static patterns. The
form those patterns take is irrelevant.
