Joining up dots between:

(Agreeing with Arlo that) the bogey-man of recursion in a metaphysics
including its own definition is a non-problem for an enlightened mind.
And - DMB pointing out that mind is a verb.
And - Craig pointing out that "Kill Intellect" was a rhetorical
directive to SOMist intellectuals to "give it a rest" and give
non-intellectual experience a break.

ron:
right, the message is stop the domination of objectivism.

Ian:
And - Bo continuing his original SOLAQI riposte to Pirsig, I notice
that Bo continued his original point ...

QUOTE
Having criticized Pirsig for not having followed the light of his
first insight in ZMM I again point to the “standard procedure” as the
culprit. It’s a Trojan Horse that lets the SOM spread itself across
the static levels. Pirsig himself is of course immune to any
infiltration, but a newcomer to the MOQ will be led astray by it.
UNQUOTE

Bo wants a simplified model for "newcomers", that avoids the logical
trap of recursion, since a "newcomer" is likely to be misled by it. He
has a point. Those who are already MoQ enlightened need not argue with
Bo, you are not his target audience. In fact I have tremendous
sympathy with seeing the standard procedure (of good old fashioned
objective logic) as a "Trojan Horse" to potentially undermine MoQ for
unenlightened minds.

Ron:
But if thats the case, why does he exhault it as THE intellectual level?
MoQ not being able to be understood or explained. Exactly HOW does this
help the "unenlightened" by placing MoQ beyond reason, like God?

Ian:
This Trojan Horse, that logic undermines quality, I have called
Catch-22, and I get called stupid for my efforts too ;-)

Ron:
If it's a catch 22 then there is no way out, a no win situation.
Is that what RMP's work about?

Ian
