[MD] Theism and literalism

Hi DMB

I wonder if we are going the wrong way when we proclaim
that reference to DQ & SQ constitutes a metaphysics. Would
we do better to argue that the distinction SQ/DQ is simply a
descriptive one to divide our experience into two kinds of
experience. Some aspects of our experience leave a trace.
Some experiences endure or come again and are re-cognised.
Some experiences are unique or new or never to be repeated.
If you think about it most of our experience is of the latter kind.
Very little aspects of our experience repeat or show any order.
Change is dominant, order and repeats exist but are the minor
aspect of experience. Science pursues the cataloguing and
quantifying of this order but that is to recognise only the minor
key of the music of life/existence that is far more dynamic.
When it looked like the behaiour of matter could be described
in SQ terms we faced a strange dualism when describing the
odd DQ comings and goings of human behaviour. However, with
quantum mechanics it looks like even matter cannot be fully described
in SQ terms and exhibits dynamic behaviour. I would suggest this
behaviour will prove to be as irreducible as any other form of DQ.
