I thought you described yourself as anti-metaphysical. And it certainly
seems like your central neo-pragmatic purpose is to convert or redefine DQ
so as to remove mysticism from the MOQ.

This is why we don't understand each other. Actually, I don't know why we
don't understand each other. I would think.... I don't know.
I've been defining things the same way for a long time.
Matt Metaphysics: How things really are in themselves.
Matt Philosophy: How things hang together.
DMB Metaphysics: How things hang together.
DMB Philosophy: ???
By these four things, obviously, what I mean by "philosophy" is what you
mean by "metaphysics". So when you say I'm "anti-metaphysics" you mean, by
your terms, I'm anti-"how things hang together". But that's not how I mean
metaphysics. What you mean by metaphysics, I mean by philosophy. So,
again, by your terms I am not antimetaphysics.
I describe myself as antimetaphysical because what I mean as "metaphysical"
is "someone who thinks they know how things really are in themselves." But,
again, that's _not_ _how_ _you_ _define_ _the_ _term_. So, me saying I'm
antimetaphysical doesn't mean the same thing by you saying that you're
antimetaphysical.
Do you see how that works yet?
I don't know how to explain this anymore. But, at any rate, I'm not trying
to remove mysticism from the MoQ, or metaphysics, or philosophy. I'm not
sure what would give you that idea but a short-sighted, narrow-minded view
of things that doesn't allow you the imagination enough to understand how
words exchange meanings or how words may take on slightly different
meanings.
Again: until you agree that what you mean by "metaphysical" is what I mean
by "philosophical", I refuse to continue the converation because it just
means you're really not into it, but just blurting stuff out in a spastic
free for all.
Matt
