SA,
Excellent question! What is it about drama that makes it such a powerful
drug? I believe the answer is, in a word, ego. We all have one. And so we
are all, to some extent, potential drama addicts.
Why is it that some people are able to see the problem and put their egos in
check while others seem to neither see that there is a problem or if they do,
to understand the problem and take appropriate action?
Borrowing something else from the film Crash (the song), I think the answer
has to do with going deep.
For those who believe the answers are "out there", turning toward oneself and
going deep seems like so much nonsense.
It really can look like very scary business, these inward experiences. Those
of us who've been there can help others see that you really can learn to breath
under water.
God bless you and the work you're doing SA.
