IMO Quality evolves in two lines: cosmic evolution, way beyond the control 
of the individual. Conscious evolution, experienced in individual awareness.

In cosmic evolution the mystic resides in the organic level in its search 
for food, and evolves in the social, and intellectual levels. In conscious 
evolution, enlightenment, an individual experiences the evolution of two 
further levels ? and ? The Buddhist in the midst.
