charge of guilt by association, which is mighty thin even when its very well 
supported, being used to attack the person rather than the ideas, which is

There is also the delicious irony in the way Platt has shot himself in the

P.S. Horse, I can't believe you signed that petition. You commie, pinko 
bastard. Traitor! Satanist! You just wait until Homeland Security hears 
about this. Oh, and I owe you a beer.

P.S.S. Platt, I wonder if you have any thoughts. On the topic, I mean. Why 
is there a "return to literal anti-intellectual religion"? I never took you 
for a fundamentalist, but still. Aren't these your people? You certainly 
speak with a right-winged tongue and it seems you want to defend them. If 
you have something of substance to offer here, please dish it up. Otherwise, 
you might want to spare yourself the humilation. As you can see, people 
aren't buying your ridiculous red-baiting, attack-the-messenger thing.

P.S.S. Marsha, Mark Crispin Miller is a really nice guy who speaks calmly 
and deliberatly. And since he loves his children and is kind to animals, we 
can rest assured that everything he says in true and correct in every way.
