hey all,
been without puter, hence the lack of correspondence.
something has been bashing round my skull for a while
and i would like some ideas from you guys about it.
it seems that a *tripartite* reality is a common
metaphysical theme across several cultures.
eg the tarot is based on the division of reality into
the material, astral and spirit/intelligence worlds;
the I-ching likewise; australian aboriginal
metaphysics similarly too. and of course the old
catholic trinity....
in short the idea that there is an immaterial world of
spirit/intelligence, a material world of normal waking
reality and an astral world that is the link between
the two seems to be encountered in several traditions
of both east and west. (any more examples?)
can this perspective be integrated within the MOQ
structure? or are they mutually exclusive metaphysics?
also i would like to know if anyone has read
schopenhauer's 'world as will and idea'? a lot of new
agey stuff seems to be stating that reality is a
manifestation of will and ideation, ie that
imagination is literally the first step in the
creation of reality. a la aboriginal dreamtime
perhaps.
cheers
gav
