Of course I reject the notion that the Absolute Source is an "aesthetic
continuum", whether in the mystical sense or as a metaphysical postulate.
(Another reason for calling it Essence.)

The undifferentiated reality is "aesthetic" only to subjective awareness
which perceives it as Value. "Continuum" suggests an uninterrupted
extension in space or time, which infers beingness. If you want to be
technically correct, the Essence of reality is antinomic Sensibility.

"Florensky's antinomic notion of truth does not formalize the nature of
truth as being 'either p or not-p' (law of excluded middle) but rather as a
conjunctive synthesis (p and not-p), which according to Aristotelian,
Boolean (algebraic) and mathematical (logistics, 'class' calculus) forms of
logic is a gateway to *ex contradictione quodlibet* ('from contradiction
anything follows')." -- [Michael Rhodes, "Logical Proof of Antinomy"]

Antinomy is also supported by Cusa's "first principle" -- the coincidence of
contrariety. Rather than Ian's "murky soup" from which only chaos could be
actualized, the "anything that follows" is your differentiated, evolutionary
universe.

Essentially yours,
Ham
