I like the definition of Capitalism:
"From each according to his/her ambition, to each according to his/her worth." 
(Where ambition is determined by each individual & worth determined by a voluntary marketplace.)

Also,
"Capitalism is a social system based on the recognition of individual rights, including property rights, in which all property is privately owned."  (Ayn Rand, "What is Capitalism")
