Could you try that charm on DMB ? I'm as atheist against the idea of
any literal purposeful sentient omnipotent god as it's posible to be
.... I've not found anything that can't be explained by natural causes
yet, with a little help from Pirsig ... but every time I suggest DMB's
arguments for or against theist religion ain't all black and white, (a
pointless tis / tisn't argument) I seem to wind him up.

As you rather clumsily pointed out - a lot of people are very touchy
about the subject - so why make it central to any argument ?
