I believe you find the true nature of the source of knowledge by knowing
yourself. You are eternally separate from others but never apart,  
a paradox of our experienced reality, e.g., you'll never know what it's like
to be kissed by you.


I would agree with that.  The true nature of the source of knowledge is
probably something that can never be defined in logical conceptual terms.  I
still wonder than can we really state for certain there is any "thing" that
knows.  I know this has recently been debated on some threads and we could
probably go on and on with it.  I would like to say for me it seems the best
that can be stated is: There is knowledge of preference, therefore there is
knowledge of preference.
