Hi Platt --

Yes. Whatever can be said "to be" in space/time reality

We cannot experience Essence directly. We can only sense it
"differentially", by our awareness of its value in the objects of our
experience.

We, as individual beings-aware, are transcended by Essence. The phrase
"innate in the universe" is a reference to Pirsig's cosmology, not mine.

No. Essence IS sentient. Actually, in my single "descriptive" reference to
Essence, I assert that Essence is Absolute Sensibility.

I appreciate this advice, Platt. I owe DMB some additional answers, now
that he has asked me "to participate in a conversation about [the]
incompatibility." Of course, he also expects my defense to be based on
"quotes and explanations [HE] has provided."
> As for your ringing defense of the individual, bravo.

Bless you for the compliment. But I think you may be reading too much into
LILA if you feel that it is a testament to individualism.
And many thanks for your continuing support.
Essentially yours,
Ham
