I agree with both points of veiw:
Random movement of mollecules per newtonian/quantum laws is inorganic static
value however complex or disordered.
However the man shaking the liquid is doing it for a moral purpose, ie
although the oil and water are inorganic, the experiment as a whole,
including the man the equipment and any observers is an intellectual
pattern. 
DQ is the "shaking" of the mind to concieve of the experiment, it is also
the uncertainty of the outcome. 
Return to stasis is when the outcome becomes known, literaly when the
outcome emerges into existence from essence.
