[Platt]
In Lila Pirsig made no such caveat about the free market being...

[Arlo]
That's cause he said this already in ZMM.

[Platt]
If you can find where Pirsig made any connection whatsoever between slavery and
the free market, let us know. Otherwise, dream on.

[Arlo]
The "free market" was happily selling people. It was not the market that was
flawed, it was the cultural devaluation of people.

[Platt]
He covered new ground in Lila alright -- a sign of his personal growth as he
found a new metaphysics and identified the openness to Dynamic Quality of the
free market vs. the stagnation of Marxist socialism.

[Arlo]
Both ZMM and LILA are a total metaphysical exposition. He doesn't repeat
himself, nor does he contradict himself. His criticisms of the metaphysical
foundations of our culture, and their effects on the market, are undeniably
"moral".
