Basically, yes. It's short hand for "this makes no sense". The questions 
that followed were intended to let you know exactly where it lacked sense.

The objection was brief and "Huh?" made perfect sense in the original 
context. Why chop it up into unintelligible pieces and then ask unnecessary 
questions?
