Look again. You will note all begin with a capital letter. None are patterns.
That's the point -- to answer your implication that if it isn't a pattern it
isn't real. There is more things in heaven and earth, Arlo, than are dreamt of
in your philosophy.

Emergence does not deny DQ. It simply describes the process which unfolds as a
result of things responding to DQ.

Those individual cells did not "plan" to make an "animal". They simply followed
their own sense of DQ, and in doing so, collectively, an "animal" emerged.
Individuals animals, then, following their own sense of DQ, collectively, gave
rise to the emergence of societies. These evolutionary leaps were not "planned"
or "preconceived", and we tend not to see all the evolutionary missteps and
forgotten directions and see only what has been preserved, and then mistakenly
presume that this "path" must have been "preordained" for us to follow. DQ
"planned it all along". Since the first subatomic particle DQ has always had
"man" in mind, and guided evolution toward that end. But that's not how it was.
