The verbal description. The word "car" is not a car. You can't quench your
thirst with the word "Coke."

Even if Pirsig clarified, I'll bet they would be open for discussion.

I don't call my relationship with my wife "socializing." Going next door
for desert and coffee tonight is "socializing."
