Are there social and psychological laws
for these higher sciences to discover?
I wonder if we should call this social inquiry
rather than social science as Nick Maxwell suggests.
[Case]
I think all laws in science are to be seen in increasingly probabilistic
ways. What one looks for in any field of science is patterns and rules. But
the farther one strays from mathematics the more we talk about likelihoods.
For example whether one regards reinforcement as a law or not, it is
extraordinarily effective at changing patterns of behavior.
