You and I would still be individuals without all those things. But, it's
certainly better that we have them than not. The best way to maintain
those things is through voluntary association whereby each of us is free to
pursue his own interests and exchange the products of his labor for the
products of others in a free market. If your bliss is making music, and you
have talent together with a willingness to practice 8 hours a day for months
on end, you too may hired by the New York Philharmonic.
