Let's see...
>From what I gather, Scott believes, knows, and/or says
that (whatever signifying word you want to use)
concepts are strictly creations of the human mind and
this is called nominalism. Scott, What does semiosis
mean? Also, Scott does not believe their is an
ultimate source as Ham does.

Ian says everyday things cannot be defined but are
known; and the discussion that he has been involved
with, with Scott brought up the sentence, "...our
debate is 100% linguistic".

Ham is talking about an Essence and these gaps in
conscious awareness called nothingness that isolates
things from other things, giving those things
definition by delineation. If the definition is based
on the nothingness defining those things that is
called nihilism. If those things are being defined by
the other things then that is called Supernaturalism.

The dangerous idea? First, If all of these arguments
are true, then they should fit together or lead into
each other. Secondly, If all of these arguments are
true, but do not lead into each other, then another
argument exists that ties all of these discussions
together. Thirdly, some are true others are not or
all are not true, then we still need another argument
or somehow the ones' that are true will fit into
everyday life in a way that isn't so heady or unclear
as to what is true and what is not true. The debate
may need to continue or we need to step back and
really take a look and feel at what is happening
everyday in this world and see if what we are arguing
- fits.

SA (and for those of you that don't know Heather
Perella is my wife's name, which I am aware pops up on
the screen besides the topic. I am going by Spiritual
Adirondack or SA)
