Arlo,
I see exactly what you are saying about art and
its' ability to create within the mythos. You know
this reminds me about how some anthropologists have
measured (how? its' probably just participation
observation) the joy, the ecstatic experience, the
ability to heighten (or in other words liven or bring
attention towards ones' awareness) the experience, and
so forth, in certain spiritual festivals or
activities. There is a name for this, and I don't
have my anthropology textbook in the apartment at this
time. The more the activity became routine, the more
the activity was just hardening and becoming less
alive in the conscious minds of the participants.
Habit with less and less mindfulness will do that. It
will deaden any activity, and creativity will be
lacking. I have a picture of robots or zombies just
waking, working, sleeping with alarm clock going or
might I say cow bell calling the cows to be milked.
Static and Dynamic I think I am understanding more and
more. What is and may even be becoming more of an
unconscious routine (static) as opposed or just
another kind of experience which is dynamic or
mindful, creative experience.
Thanks,
SA
