Leif Gunnar Alvær,

Hello, What you said had excellent clarity. The
current social perspective supports ways that may be
deemed static. As you said, "Supporting vlauepatterns
creates a "point of viewt" where one can percieve/
experience the art (or quality)..."
I am glad you not only mentioned social, but
biological as well. The attraction of the suburbs,
the country look, and so forth has pulled people away
from the confines of the city (obviously not all
cities, and there are people who love the city), but
what I am pointing out is the contrast I personally
have felt in the past between my lifestyle and housing
patterns compared with the camping trips I have made
in the deep woods. Many of times in the past I have
come back to my house having this feeling that I was
trying to fit the circle camping life into a square
peg (the house and lifestyle back home). What I began
to deem ordinary life (the woods) was to many people
and life patterns not ordinary and quite unusual. The
population explosion we have today pushes on the deep
woods. Instead of incorporating these woods easily,
they are literally pushed aside. Why have I said in
the past this circle in a square peg was a feeling I
had? Maybe I am more comfortable in moving from one
thought pattern (the woods) to another thought pattern
(more urban). I think it is in this comfort-ability
where moving between what may seem contrasting could
potentially become creative. The actions of such has
me dream that someday I will have a house, but not
have the grass in the yard, just woods, as this region
has had since the glaciers covered this area (as a
side note, this shows how natural history has
influenced my perspective on life). At this moment, I
have seen such houses, but for me it is dynamic
quality. A picture, a dream, and an art work that
could be painted with qualities found in the woods and
qualities based on the idea of a basic necessity - a
shelter. In one region the dynamic could be static in
another region and vice versa. This is probably why
quality is hard to define, not just from larger
culture to larger culture, but between subcultures
(hills and other hills). It depends on who is drawing
the viewpoint that places the more concrete focus upon
any subtler art, beauty, quality, and flower pedal to
be seen in what particular direction and season.

I may have gone on a tangent, Leif, but your
viewpoint, pointed me into a creative corner on the
hillside I need to see at times to bubble those creek
sounds to the surface waters that express the beauty
of this universe experienced in those nooks and
crannies upon this earth.

Thanks,
SA (if you don't know Heather Perella is my wife,
and her name comes up besides the topic. I go by SA
or Spiritual Adirondack)
