I don't know how society can communicate with biology in terms of sex.  
Perhaps you have in mind a group hug or possibly an orgy of some sort? 
If you could describe the activities you imagine might communicate love 
and thus change the behavior of killers bent on our destruction, please 
let us know. The law of jungle has no respect for social values.

(Lila, 24) refers to Chapter 24. My hard cover edition of Lila doesn't match the
paperback edition page for page, and I think even different paperback editions
vary in page numbering. So I refer to the chapter rather than the page when
quoting Pirsig.
