Hello everybody I have comments for many people here,

Wow this subject became really active today. I
miss one day at the computer and bam! All this
chatter happens suddenly. I'll try to catch-up.

     - PLATT you said at one point to me: "In some
cases, war has been the answer in defending and
preserving intellectual values. Our own revolutionary
was for example, not to mention our Civil War, World
War II and the Cold War."

The revolutionary war had a down side. The
Amerindian was further trampled. The Civil War for
awhile distracted the U.S. from disturbing the Plains
Amerindians, but not for long. The Cold War was a
continuation of the Cold War. We are still picking up
the pieces of the Cold War, such as some of the
unaccounted Old Soviet Union weapons.
When does one see peace? When there is no
fighting. - plain and simple

     - PLATT said in that same posting: "If such
radicals get their hands on WMD as they clearly intend
to, the threat to us in the West becomes something
very few want to face up to."

History is continuously present in nature. Who
made the WMD? United States; Who through the first
stone? The evil caveman some time ago.

DAVID said at one point: "Seems interesting to
me that many a culture survived through defeat and
changed their victors, Greece versus Rome for
example."

David are you referring to the passage of values
from a defeated culture to the victorious culture,
such as the spirit of Amerindian taken into the United
States culture still in battle to this day as Pirsig
talked about in Lila?

------------------------------------------------------------

Arlo, you went straight to the point, and I'll
leave it at that.

------------------------------------------------------------

We live in the present, the constant present,
events come and go, but always we deal with the same
issue, and when will the world make up its' mind and
make that final decision together where some have
already tried, do try, and have done in understanding
that to have peace is to not fight. Let's not confuse
this plain and simple act.
