[MD] Barbarian attack

Hey folks
I´ve been scanning the MD for the last couple of months while on vacation
and this thread caught my eye - especially now. I happen to be sitting in
an internet cafe in the middle of Ocosingo, Chiapas, Mexico. It´s one of
the towns that the rebel Zapatista army ¨captured¨ in 1994. It´s
interesting to see what people will die for, and why. If a man just bombed
your house, killed your children and left you nothing to live for, you will
fight with the ferocity of one who has nothing to lose. This happened in
Chiapas, it happens in the Middle East and all over the world. It mostly
happens for big corporate interests in the name of the west - these two
things should not be confused, but often are. They are sometimes connected,
but not the same thing.
I guess I just want to point out that there is a difference between the
criminal and the saviour and we may not know until after the smoke clears
who is whom.
Peace.
Rebecca
