You have been reading too much SciFi books ( just kidding) or you are
describing the Amish community ( not kidding).
Then you go on later to describe the Intellect we have on the upper
echelon in this country.
Quality Society, from the ground up. Not the top down.
Yeah, a citizenship is something you have to earn before you can vote and
become a member of society, a degree of sort. Not through indoctrination
by an institution somewhere.
In college I worked the reference department. We had to catalog the
corporate annual reports. It was interesting to see how more enlightened
and successful companies and people with Phd, MA, Dr. after their names.
Yes I know Bill gates never finished school, but when the collective has
been enlightened ( one hopes after 4-8 of college), their visions, drive,
plans and stewardship become more positive and productive.
Pisrig talked about Art and Science taking two different paths. Well at
my college Engineering students were so impacted by their classes that
they were exempt form the arts and humanities their college mates had to
take.
Here is an example for you. we have a park in our town where certain
undesired activities have taken place in he public restrooms.
The mayor's solution????
Tear the bathrooms out.
One way to solve a problem. Got a headache, off with your head.
I guess that's the price we pay for electing actors to become
politicians.
Two things rise to the top. Cream and scum.
It all depends on what's in the pot.
