Where to begin.
A few month back there was an editorial in the Atlantic monthly entitled
" will Israel live to see 100?". Well lets just say that it was not a
popular editorial.
Lots of mistakes have happened since 1948. Neither the Arabs had the
vision to see the reality and solve the problem realistically, nor did
the west acknowledge the suffering and enforce UN resolutions ( passed)
to alleviate the suffering of a couple of million refugees. Arab Leaders
used those refugees and their cause to reinforce their dictator ship. The
US uses israel as the bulldog on the leach to keep things in order, and
Israel uses the US to bankroll and support its endeavors.
Beneath it lies 3 ticking time bombs:
1. The ecological factor
2. The race factor
3. The bedroom war
1. Water and the environment. It's not a pretty picture at all. Beirut is
a city of about 3 million people, and no there any sewer treatment plans
at all. The whole area is polluting its most precious resources at an
alarming rate. irrigating the desert was fine and dandy for 35 years. Now
salt layers took over and that's the end of that experiment.
2. The race factor within Israel itself. Go to google and type the word
"Arab Jews" and see what comes come. You say there is no such a thing.
Sure there is. Just like you can be french, Canadian or German and have
whatever religion, you can be an Arab and be Coptic, Catholic, Sunni,
Sufi, Druze, Jew, Shiite, Maronite or Protestant.
Here is a quote from ZMM:
"Then he sees a bad thing happen. The beat-up innocent student who has
watched him earlier now is no longer so innocent. He is sneering at the
Chairman and asking him sarcastic and insinuating questions. The
Chairman, already crippled, is now being killed -- but then Phædrus
realizes
this was what was intended for himself.
He can't feel sorry, just disgusted. When a shepherd goes to kill a wolf,
and
takes his dog to see the sport, he should take care to avoid mistakes.
The
dog has certain relationships to the wolf the shepherd may have
forgotten."
R. Pirsig
A current candidate in israel is attempting to run for prime minister,
suddenly his Moroccan heritage is not helping him at all. The clash
between east and west, east European for the most part and the Mizrahis
does not paint a pretty picture.
3 The bedroom war. Look at California's demographics. You can't maintain
your "DEMOCRACY" and be the minority. The issue of redrawing the
boundaries within israel and relocating people is already happening.
Look at history, a little close, a little far. Which reminds me of a
great quote from the book Jurassic park.
Malcolm the scientist is talking. " It's not save the planet, it's save
the humans".
Those who know, those who have learned know that the borders will be
redrawn. Another blood bath will take place. Just look at history.
It's the present we have to survive.
