Hello Everyone,
Ham said: "Thus, our primary value is seen as
personal survival -- "to be" -- in life and
(hopefully) in death as well. But our value is
misdirected. The value we seek is not to be found in
created beingness but in its uncreated Source."
The key word here would be "primary" because
without it, Ham, then I am thinking life has no value
at all and we must just die. Discussing Value does
clear things up, because the whole idea about Essence
that you try to define and relate with other things
that exist is difficult. Value does clear a path to
not just motivation but purpose and meaning. To use
the concepts that are understandable to you I Value a
Connection that Essence would have to have with
Existence thus Existence would be a primary value as
Essence Is and thus Existence Is, because All that Is,
Is Essence as I understand your view. Am I correct in
questioning you here as will soon follow or are we
actually noticing the same thing and these questions I
am about to have need not be asked? I do not want to
get caught up in the language we are using to describe
Value or Essence or Connection or Existence, only I do
caught up in the language only because I need it to
try to angle my questioning and answering with what I
am experiencing. By what Essence is, no words could
comprehend It, thus words are a tool used in an
imaginative sense, but words are not the actual or
Essence, words are just signs to help direct us
together in a discussion of what cannot be discussed.
Why must this purpose and meaning be only in an
Essence that is not Connected to Existence? Unless
Value is found in existence and Value is found in
Essence, then we would have nothing to Connect this
difficulty I am having in relating to your thesis. I
need something to Connect or Relate into your
understanding of this universe. I think we need a
Connecting factor. Value of something has degrees of
quality. Yet, the MOQ has Value to many people who
discuss amidst the MOQ. This value motivates the
discussion, yet, if according to you Value is only in
Essence and Essence is not in existence, then are we
pretending to value the MOQ to bid our time and wait
for return to Essence? Does this existence have any
value and worthwhile experience as we exist here on
this earth with sky? Is existence Connected to
Essence, and Essence is Existence in a way that
motivates our being to stay finite knowing it is
infinite, too, thus, to take it as it goes, be, and
value what is here and now always? I sense Value
here, and maybe it is only Essence I sense, but it is
Essence here and now in existence that I am valuing
and sensing.
