Hi Marsha and Paul,

I've just ordered Garfield's book on Nagarjuna at last. Can't wait.

In a similar vein, having just enjoyed reading Sun Tzu's Art of War, I
also read over Christmas, Hesse's Siddhartha.

Not too impressed with the latter. A little homely parable - true
enough - wisdom is not communicable - only the way, not the
destination. As much wisdom in the sound a sight of a river as in the
words of any guru. Tend your own garden. The universality of time.
Opposites exist in everything, etc. But just a parable, no real
arguments. (Reading Hesse's Bead Game on-line, it looks more
interesting.)
